Aston Villa fans have been discussing former Villa man Axel Tuanzebe on Twitter.
This comes after Villa journalist Dan Bardell shared a post on his official Twitter account claiming that it is “deeply upsetting” to see the defender having a “wasted season” at Manchester United.
Would you take Tuanzebe back at Villa?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans who were keen on sharing their own thoughts on Tuanzebe.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:
Seeing Axel Tuanzabe just sitting there, having wasted a season when he could have been with us is deeply upsetting. #avfc #utv

Yea but hand on heart… would you rather he was with us than either Konsa or Engles… because that’s what the choice would have been?
For me…. 100%, I love the guy!— Andy AV? (@Andyav73) March 8, 2020
For real, he’s wasted talent at utd

He should come home and while he’s at it give Tammy a lift home too

The 22-year-old, who is currently valued at £9 million according to Transfermarkt, was on loan at the Birmingham club for the first time from January 2018 to the end of the 2017/18 season. The Englishman the spent the entirety of the 2018/19 season at Villa Park helping Dean Smith’s side win promotion back to the Premier League (per Transfermarkt). Now that Tuanzebe is back at his parent club Manchester United, but only making 11 appearances since the beginning of the season, this has given many Villa fans the opportunity to share their wishes to see the defender back at Villa Park.
What a difference that could have made in our back 4

I think he is better potentially than what we have and would love him back

He’s better than Konsa for me. I like both.

What do we think?
In fairness, Tuanzebe has struggled with injuries since his return to Old Trafford but has found himself out of the squad regularly. The replies from the Villa fans show that they still have positive feelings towards their former defender and would like to see him make a return in the future.
