Villa's 2017/18 season began with a 1-1 draw against which team?

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were eager to have their say on their former striker.

Should Villa have kept hold of Darren Bent for longer?

Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:

The striker first signed to the Birmingham club back in January 2011 for a fee of £19.35 million from Sunderland (per Transfermarkt). After four years and numerous loan deals, Villa finally let Bent go to Derby County on a free transfer in 2015 (per Transfermakt).  In 72 appearances for Villa, Bent managed to score 25 goals and provide three assists along the way. Now that this footage of all 25 of Bent’s Villa goals has been going around on Twitter, this gave lots of Villa fans the opportunity to share their opinions on their former striker.

What do we think?

It’s nice to see these Villa fans sharing their messages of support and appreciation for Bent and what he did for the club during his time at Villa Park.
