At what date do the EFL intend to resume matches after temporarily suspending games due to the viral outbreak?

Football Insider believe that the Whites have been in constant contact with Meslier’s parent club FC Lorient and the Frenchman is keen on the move.

The report states that the 20-year-old has been impressed with the coaching he has received, and Leeds have told his parent club that they will be willing to sign Meslier irrespective of promotion.

What do we think?

Phil Hay reported that Leeds have an option to buy Meslier for just £5m, and if this latest report is true, then the Frenchman is keen on making the move as well.

The 20-year-old, who is valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt, has only played two league matches for the Whites, and he has kept two clean sheets.

Kiko Casilla is currently suspended after he was found guilty of using racist language towards Jonathan Leko, and Meslier had stepped in.

However, with the EFL currently suspended due to a viral outbreak, it is unclear when or even if the season will restart.

Whenever that does happen, Casilla will still be banned from participating, and Meslier could be the man to fill in.

Judging by this report, the Whites will be trying to make the 20-year-old’s deal permanent no matter what happens to the season.
