This past Saturday, Rangers ran away with a victory against Hamilton in the Scottish Cup. Scott Arfield stroked home his rebounded penalty in the 25th minute to put the visitors up 1-0, before Hamilton’s Lewis Smith equalised. Joe Aribo and Alfredo Morelos scored in the second half to secure a safe passage through, with Rangers set to face a trip to Hearts in the quarter-finals.
But arguably, the best goal of the night came in stoppage time when Arfield popped up yet again. This time, the Canadian smashed the ball home from a considerable distance, sending the shot ricocheting off the underside of the crossbar and into the net. It was the perfect end to the match where Rangers finally looked like a team capable of punishing their opposition – with the last time Rangers scored more than two goals in a match coming against Hibernian in mid-December.
Rangers shared footage of this goal on Twitter, resulting in many fans praising Arfield’s effort. They think his strike was sublime.

A nervous afternoon for all of us today, but the goals did eventually come, and the best was saved for last. What a strike!

Is Arfield back to his best self?
Yes
No
Some fans think the Rangers players must continue shooting from these areas, especially when teams set up in a low block against them.
Let’s be having more of that Rangers… that’s the way to beat the low block. Stunning strike from Scottie.. need more like that from others.

What do we think?
Arfield’s strike was a thing of beauty. Hopefully, he can continue to produce special moments like this going forward. If either he or his teammates can, they could produce some massive goals as Rangers attempt to close the gap on Celtic in the league.
