Tonight, Rangers face off against Braga in the UEFA Europa League. The Portuguese opposition will be travelling to Ibrox tonight to take on Steven Gerrard’s side in the first leg of the Round of 32 stage.

In anticipation of the game, some Gers fans have been discussing their ideal lineup. Rangers fan account @ibroxrocks was one of the accounts to propose a starting eleven.

One of the controversial decisions they made was to drop Ryan Kent for Florian Kamberi. Kent started the last match against Livingston but was replaced by Kamberi early in the second half.

The English winger was purchased from Liverpool in the summer for £6.48 million (as per Transfermarkt). He remains Rangers’ eighth-most expensive signing of all time.

Some Rangers fans responded to their proposal, agreeing that Kent needs a stint out of the team.

Does Ryan Kent deserve to be dropped against Braga?

Yes

No

No

However, there were many who think tonight’s game could be the perfect platform for him to regain some form. They expect him to start and think he will have a stormer.

What do we think?

If Gerrard drops Kent for this match, it will be a huge call. To exclude one of the club’s most expensive players in an important knockout match would be bold.

Only time will tell before we know who Gerrard picks and if he ultimately makes the right decision.
