Steven Davis isn’t known for his prolific goal scoring. The Northern Irishman has scored just one goal in his 34 appearances this season.
He has scored 44 goals in his career. But, that comes at the age of 35, having played a whopping 602 professional games.
However, this week, Rangers posted a video of Davis stroking a ball into the top corner of the net on his first attempt during a training session. The goal was a brilliant curling effort.
Many fans marvelled at the beauty of the shot. But this begged the question for a lot of supporters. Why doesn’t Davis shoot more in games? If he can do it in a practice, they believe he should at least attempt it during a competitive match.
Mate do this in games then? Not taken a shot out side the box since 2010

Unbelievable player. Would love to see more of this from him though. Hes so unselfish in the last third. Would love to see him hit a few shots from distance. Airfields goals aside I feel that’s all we’ve been missing from our midfielders

If only he could do that in a game now that would be special

Be good if he done that instead of his 11th clipped ball into the box going out for a goal kick in a game

Do you think Steven Davis should be scoring more during games?
Yes
No
What do we think?
With Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defore scoring 46 goals between them already this season, Davis may be forgiven for not recognising the need to shoot. If he can put the ball on their feet in the box, it should convert into a goal.
However, these supporters insist that if he has it in the locker, he should pull it out in games.
