QPR fans have been left delighted by the club’s post on Twitter, which confirms that the Hoops have exercised their option to extend the contracts of Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ryan Manning until the summer of 2021.
Manning and Osayi-Samuel have both been influential for QPR this season, with average WhoScored match ratings of 7.05 and 6.91 respectively, ranking them the Hoops’ second and third-best performers.
The news has understandably delighted QPR fans, with many calling for the club to now offer them new deals (rather than simply extending their contracts) in a bid to fend off interest from bigger clubs in the summer.

should hope so as well. still means they both only have a year and a half left on their deals so I would hope the club are still trying to tie them both down to long term deals.

Good news, but that’s just until 2021. We need to tie both of them down for longer on better contracts. This is just a stopgap.

Great news. Sign them up for longer

What do we think?
The extension of the two contracts is undeniably good business for QPR, as only Eberechi Eze has outperformed both Manning and Osayi-Samuel this season.
However, fans are right to be cautious about the club merely activating clauses, rather than a renewal. If QPR really do want to tie two of their most promising talents down, they will need to offer both players improved contracts sooner rather than later.
