Nottingham Forest fans have been congratulating Jordan Gabriel on Twitter after the 21-year old signed a new contract with the club.

The right-back, who is currently on loan at Scunthorpe United, has made five appearances for the Iron since joining them in January, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.50.

The 21-year-old later stated on Twitter: “Proud moment to sign a new contract at @NFFC. Thank you @GazBraz and the rest of the staff for Developing me into the player I am today! Fans have been class! Can’t wait to go again next season!! #NFFC”

Upon seeing the confirmation of Gabriel’s contract extension, fans of Nottingham Forest rushed to congratulate the youngster.

What do we think?

If Gabriel can impress while on loan at Scunthorpe United, then upon his return to Nottingham Forest, he has the perfect right-back role model in Matty Cash to help continue his development.

It seems that fans are hopeful that he can become a success at the City Ground once he returns from his loan spell. His new deal looks to be a sign that the club are keen to continue developing Gabriel into a top future talent.
