Some Celtic fans have been discussing the situation of their winter transfer window signing Patryk Klimala.
The Polish striker did feature in the club’s recent 4-0 win over Motherwell, but he came on from the bench to play the last few minutes of the Premiership clash. The game saw Odsonne Edouard grab a brace, while Callum McGregor and Leigh Griffiths also got a goal each.
Will Klimala play regularly this season?
Not till Edouard is here
He will get a chance
Many Celtic fans were discussing Klimala’s situation when Twitter page Celtic Now and Forever posted about him asking whether he will be given a fair amount of game time this season. They made their opinions very clear.
He will start against Clyde

That will depend on him when he gets a chance, too many have not taken that chance when presented.

Fully expect him to play his part in the run-in. Doubt he’ll become a regular this season.

Why change a winning team, remember Edouard spent near enough a full season on the bench when he first arrived

Klimala joined Celtic from Polish club Jagiellonia Bialystok in the winter of 2020 for a fee of £3.4 million. The striker had penned a four-and-a-half-year deal with the club.
Since arriving at the club, Klimala has played only 26 minutes of first-team football for the Hoops. Two of his appearances have come in the Premiership, while his debut came in the Scottish Cup game against Partick Thistle two weeks ago.
Before arriving at Parkhead, Klimala was a regular at Bialystok. He played 1,075 minutes of first-team football in the Polish league, playing 17 games. He also got seven goals and racked up three assists as well.
What do we think?
The fact that Klimala played regularly in Poland shows that he can perform consistently. Neil Lennon certainly knows more, but there is every chance he gets a go soon, though that may only happen when Edouard or Griffiths get suspended or injured.
