In all seriousness, Nuno exclusively opting for Mendes clients is a problem. We really need to broaden our horizons.

Interesting. Don’t think many people would be expecting to hear this. Respect to Thelwell, thankless job to be the face of something so important which operates in such secrecy.
Support Nunos decisions, not the one I’d had made but its what’s right for him not us.— Tom (@Kumpi3) February 4, 2020
Saw this mate. What could have been

If we could have signed Olmo but Nuno rejected him for Podence that’s an absolute joke

Which pair of players would you have rather signed for Wolves?Hwang Hee-chan and Dani OlmoDaniel Podence and Leonardo Campana |
During this season, Hee-chan has 23 goal involvements in 22 games for Red Bull Salzburg (per Transfermarkt), meanwhile, Olmo has 15 in 23 appearances in all competitions (per Transfermarkt).
However, despite Campana having just seven goal involvements in 21 games (per Transfermarkt) and Podence having ten in 28 (per Transfermarkt), some fans were not quick to believe Spiers.
Nuno knows the players he wants to fit the system he employs. Fair play to Thelwell for putting them forward & fair play for accepting that they were not what Nuno needed.

How do you know they were put forward, it’s all guess work.

What do we think?
If Nuno Espirito Santo did really reject the pair that have 38 goal involvements in 45 games between them this season, for the pair that have 17 in 49 (via The Athletic), then it does seem a little bizarre.
However, as some fans mentioned, if Nuno Santo felt that the first two options did not suit his system, then it was a sensible option for him to go with a pair that he felt did.
