Fans of Wolves have been reacting to an image posted by Raúl Jiménez on Twitter, in which the striker discusses his celebration following his goal in their 3-0 win over Norwich City on Sunday.

Jiménez has been in fine form for Wolves this season, with the 28-year-old scoring 21 goals and providing 10 assists in his 41 appearances in all competitions thus far.

The Mexican international’s 12th Premier League goal of the season came against Norwich on Sunday, and in celebration of his triumph, the 28-year-old concealed the ball under his shirt and sucked his thumb in an apparent tribute to his unborn child.

His tweet translates as: “A goal with special dedication for you that you are on the way.”

In reaction to their striker’s news, Wolves fans have flocked to Twitter to send their congratulations to Jiménez.

What do we think?

The Mexican international’s goals have been influential for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side in the two years he has been at the club, having initially spent a season on loan from Benfica before making the move permanent last summer for a fee of £34.2 million.

With Wolves currently still in the fight for fifth place in the Premier League, as well as holding a 4-0 lead from their first-leg, round-of-32 match against Espanyol, they will need their star striker to maintain his fine form if they are to challenge on both a domestic and continental front.
