Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have shown their love for an update from Tim Spiers on Ruben Vinagre’s return from injury.
On Monday, The Athletic’s reporter shared that the Portuguese defender will ‘be back involved before long’ and that he was out training at Compton Park (per Tim Spiers), which had fans delighted.

Hats off to the medical staff… remember the old days, players would never return from an injury…

Who do you believe is currently the better player of the two?Jonny OttoRuben Vinagre |
So far this term, the 20-year-old full-back has featured on 23 occasions for Nuno Espirito Santo, during which he has bagged two goals (per Transfermarkt).
While there was widespread delight over the defender’s impending return to action, some supporters praised Vinagre for supposedly being out training at the time of Spiers’ tweet.
Great news.

Fair play to him, but it’s a bit late.

Did the injury affect his ability to do loads and loads and loads of stepovers?

What do we think?
With some supporters passing comment on the time of Spiers’ tweet, perhaps being a little tongue in cheek, it is probably more likely that Spiers had meant he had been out training earlier in the day.
Either way, it is great to hear that Vinagre will be back in contention before long as the Old Gold have no other cover for Jonny Otto in the first-team squad (per WhoScored).
