Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that their club are reportedly taking a strong interest in Barcelona youngster Marc Cucurella.

The Spanish Under 21 international, who has spent this season on loan with Getafe, is attracting interest from the North London club according to Transfermarkt news (via Ricky Sacks). The 21-year-old has impressed so far this season with Jose Bordalas’ side; averaging a 6.89 rating for his performances in La Liga, which have helped push his side up to fifth in the table.

Cucurella can also feature as a left-back, having played three times there so far this season, something which has piqued the interest of a lot of Spurs fans. They perhaps see the Barcelona man as a replacement for Danny Rose; after the 29-year-old joined Newcastle United on loan during last month’s transfer window.

These Spurs fans seem delighted that they are being linked with someone who can play left-back and would perhaps welcome the singing of Cucurella.

What do we think?

With Rose gone and Ben Davies having struggled since returning from injury earlier this month, perhaps Cucurella would prove to be a good signing for the North London club. At just 21-years-old, the £13.5 million-rated man still arguably has a lot of potential to fill.
