Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that RB Leipzig are expected to be without a recognised centre-back for their trip to North London in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

According to Mark O’Haire on Twitter (via Daily Hotspur), the Bundesliga side will be without centre-backs Willy Orban and Ibrahima Konate, who miss out through injury – whilst Dayot Upamecano is suspended for the first leg. This will surely be a welcome boost for Jose Mourinho’s side as they look to secure an advantage on Wednesday that they can take with them to the Red Bull Arena next month.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side have been impressive in the Bundesliga so far this season and currently sit in second place, just one point behind current leaders Bayern Munich. However, goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi has just six clean sheets in 21 league games, which suggests that their strength is in attacking rather than defending – so they could still pose a threat to the North London club tomorrow.

Do you think Spurs will win on Wednesday?

Reaction from Spurs fans to the news on RB Leipzig can be seen in the tweets below.

Some of these Spurs fans are clearly confident that their attack will be able to cause Leipzig’s disjointed defence some problems on Wednesday night.

What do we think?

Leipzig may not have their usual centre-backs available, but they should have Nordi Mukiele and Ethan Ampadu available, both of whom can fill in at centre-back. With both Spurs and Leipzig in good form of late, Wednesday night should see an interesting clash.
