Spurs fans seem a little concerned after former manager Mauricio Pochettino admitted he is ready for his next challenge in football management.
The 47-year-old was sacked by Spurs in November of last year, but it seems as if a return to management is on the cards after the Argentinian was interviewed by Natalie Pinkham for her ‘In The Pink’ podcast.
He said: “I’m ready and waiting for a new challenge. I have the belief and confidence that the next challenge will be fantastic,” per In The Pink podcast (via Daily Hotspur).
There is a reported clause in his contract that means that Pochettino cannot join a Premier League side this season unless he wants to lose out on his compensation fee from Daniel Levy, however, it seems as if we could see him at another top-flight club in time for the 2020/21 season.
He also mentioned his desire to return to the Premier League, saying: “I would love to work in the Premier League. It’s going to be difficult, I know, and for now it’s a moment to wait and we’ll see what happens.”
Should Pochettino be considered as a success at Spurs despite his lack of trophies?

He’s going to Man Utd. At least we’ve had time to mentally prepare. Fingers crossed for a late bid from Real/PSG…

These Spurs fans don’t seem ready to see Pochettino return to management, although a lot of fans seem to think he will join Manchester United.
What do we think?
Pochettino was definitely a success at Spurs despite his lack of trophies, as he led the North London club to regular top-four finishes and of course, last season’s Champions League final. It would not be a surprise to see him continue his success at another club.
