Spurs fans were seemingly less than impressed with Tanguy Ndombele after an image was posted of him returning to training this week.
Jose Mourinho gave his players time off during the winter break before the squad returned earlier this week in preparation for the game against Aston Villa at the weekend. LastWordonSpurs posted a picture of the French midfielder returning to training and lots of Spurs fans were quick to comment on his figure.
The 23-year-old has struggled with his fitness since joining the North London club in a club-record deal in the summer, having made just 15 starts in all competitions this season. He was criticised by Mourinho earlier in the season when he ruled himself out of the game against Brighton and is reportedly on a special fitness programme to try and help him adapt to the Premier League.
Should Ndombele be dropped until he can improve his fitness?

People been making every excuse in the book for him, while others are calling it like it is. I am so disappointed bc you can see how class he is. I hope he decides to take his career seriously. His attitude and professionalism sucks imo.

Shocking that a professional athlete should be so out of shape. Make him work his balls off.

These Spurs fans are clearly not impressed with the image of Ndombele and feel he needs to work a lot harder to get up to full fitness.
What do we think?
The image may just have been an unflattering one of Ndomebele, however, it seems clear that the £58.5 million-rated man needs to work a bit harder if he is going to make it in the Premier League.
