Spurs fans were delighted to hear the thoughts of Jose Mourinho on summer signing Tanguy Ndombele in a press conference this week.
Alasdair Gold shared his own article in Football.London with Spurs fans on Twitter, featuring the thoughts of the Portuguese manager on his French midfielder, mainly regarding the fitness issues that have been causing problems for the 23-year-old since he joined from Lyon in a club-record deal over the summer. The former Lyon man recently missed a game against Brighton due to concerns over his fitness and he has struggled to feature in consecutive games; making just 10 starts in the Premier League.
When discussing Ndombele in a recent press conference, the Portuguese manager said: “He played well when he came on the other day. He is not with problems now, he is training normally and now it is time, instead of playing 15 or 20 minutes, to play more. So yes, he is a player with amazing quality.”
Could Ndombele become one of the best midfielders in the world?
Yes

If he stays fit he could quite easily be the best midfielder in the world

The guy has the fanbase in awe in his limited action. Imagining how good he can be if he can string together 30 games injury free is scary!

This should silence all the mugs rushing to judgment saying he’d be sold again in the summer and that Mourinho doesn’t like him

Absolute baller. If he becomes fitter he has the potential to become one of the worlds best midfielders

These Spurs fans are clearly delighted with Mourinho’s comments on Ndombele and will be hoping that the French international gets up to full fitness as soon as possible.
What do we think?
Ndombele has shown with his performances in the Champions League that he can be an effective player for Spurs. If he can vastly improve his poor fitness then there is no reason why the £58.5 million rated man can’t go on to be a world-class player.
