Spurs fans have been reacting to a post from former youth prospect Marcus Edwards after he scored twice in Vitoria SC’s 7-0 win over Famalicao.
The 21-year-old tweeted following the superb 7-0 win for the Liga NOS side, something which has quickly caught the attention of Spurs fans. Edwards was once described by Mauricio Pochettino as a “mini Messi” but left the North London club in the summer to join Vitoria for just £1.13 million (per transfermarkt).
Since then, the winger has contributed six goals and four assists for the Portuguese side, including his weekend double in the impressive 7-0 win. This has led to many Spurs fans suggesting that Jose Mourinho should make a move to bring him back to North London, despite him making just one senior appearance in his previous spell with the club.
Did Spurs sell Edwards too soon?

Should still be at THFC, should never have let you go.

These Spurs fans clearly want to see Edwards back at the club and will be hoping that a buy-back clause was negotiated with the Portuguese side.
What do we think?
Edwards has impressed so far this season; averaging a 7.24 rating in all competitions for Vitoria, which suggests that perhaps he was let go too young by the North London club.
