Spurs fans have flocked to a tweet from Giovani Lo Celso after their 2-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday.
The Argentinian tweeted: “What a performance team. Come on you Spurs”, following their triumph over Pep Guardiola’s side; a result which leaves them just four points behind Chelsea in the race for a Champions League spot. Spurs signed Lo Celso on a permanent deal during the January transfer window and his recent performances have been mostly superb, with the 23-year-old earning a 6.79 rating for his performance against the Citizens.
The former Real Betis man originally joined Spurs on loan during the summer, but Spurs exercised their option to sign the creative midfielder permanently during the window, which is no surprise considering the departure of Christian Eriksen. Now that Lo Celso has established himself as a regular starter under Mourinho, fans will no doubt be hoping that he can reach the same heights as Eriksen did during his time at the North London club.

These Spurs fans clearly enjoyed Lo Celso’s performance against Manchester City and will be hoping he can continue his good form in the FA Cup replay against Southampton on Wednesday.

Lo Celso has been in excellent form recently and looks to be a shrewd signing, considering Spurs signed the midfielder for just £27.2 million.
