Spurs fans were treated to a video of Harry Winks showing off some “tekkers” in the warm-up before the 2-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday.
The club tweeted a video of the midfielder volleying his chewing gum up in the air before catching it in his mouth – a slightly unhygienic but undoubtedly impressive piece of skill. The England international produced one of his best performances of the season in the win over Pep Guardiola’s side, earning a 7.02 rating for his display (via WhoScored).
The 24-year-old is a product of the youth academy at Spurs and has gone on to make 128 appearances for the senior side. Winks has struggled so far this season, averaging a disappointing 6.54 rating, but perhaps the performance against Manchester City will see him turn his form around.
Is Winks good enough to be a regular starter for Spurs?

He’s Tottenham through and through, such a skilful young player and genuinely nice lad as well, you can tell how much he cares every time you see him on the pitch

These Spurs fans clearly enjoyed the video of Winks and will be hoping that he can continue producing performances such as the one against Manchester City.
What do we think?
The skill from Winks is impressive but it is good to see so many Spurs fans praising the £36 million-rated man for his performance against Pep Guardiola’s side, considering he has been subject to criticism in the past.
