A lot of Newcastle United fans are not happy with Simon Jordan after he defended Steve Bruce on TalkSPORT (via the Evening Chronicle).
The former Crystal Palace chairman, speaking alongside Steve’s son Alex, claimed that the ex-Manchester United defender “exudes leadership” and that he has got the Toon job “on merit”.
Is Steve Bruce doing a good job?
Yes
No
Jordan also talked about Rafael Benitez and said that Newcastle fans think that he can “walk on water and do no wrong“.
This has drawn a variety of responses from many Newcastle fans.
Why #NUFC should be judged on the next few games – not the Arsenal defeat https://t.co/H2v3SKa1EF

I can’t believe the chronicle are giving this muppet a platform. Ask Someone relevant. Ask someone who is respected.

When did mike buy the chronicle?

I don’t care if the Chronicle thinks Bruce has shown he’s no puppet, he’ll be judged by how his team performs on the pitch, not by his puppet rating. The points tally is impressive but there’s been no improvement since August and with a front line worth 80m, we deserve better.

No, he’s a muppet

He’s demonstrated a number of times that he is exactly a puppet. Mans a sell out. Any decent man would never work for Ashley.

Your the only puppets round here

What do we think?
The Toon have 31 points and are into the fifth round of the FA Cup – so on that basis, there can perhaps be few complaints.
However, managing one league win since Christmas and scoring the second-lowest amount of goals in the league are causes for complaint.
Toon fans are entitled to want to see more attacking threat from their team, and Bruce has to work on this.
