Liverpool’s youngsters secured a safe passage through to the fifth round of this season’s FA Cup having defeated Shrewsbury Town at Anfield on Tuesday night. Jurgen Klopp’s absence stole the pre-match headlines but Neil Critchley’s side got the job done with several young stars impressing the Anfield faithful.
The Reds’ 22-year-old midfielder Pedro Chirivella turned in another promising performance which led to these supporters taking to social media to heap praise on the Spaniard.
Does Pedro Chirivella deserve a new contract?
Yes
No
I’ve said it several times. This guy plays like prime Alonso. Very confident on the ball, accurate passes and reads the game well. He’s just 23 and been at the club for a while. Deserves a new contract imo.

What do we think?
Born in Valencia, Pedro Chirivella is a former Spanish Under-17 international and a regular in Liverpool’s Under-23 side. He has made 11 appearances in this season’s Premier League 2 competition and has contributed a goal and two assists so far.
The midfielder, who is valued at £720k (as per Transfermarkt), has also been given first-team opportunities in both of the domestic cup competitions and has impressed whenever given the chance. According to WhoScored.com, Chirivella likes to shoot from distance and his ability to make vital interceptions is one of his best attributes.
