Atletico Madrid may have the lead in their UEFA Champions League round-of-16 tie versus Liverpool, but it is only half-time. Diego Simeone’s side managed to keep a clean sheet after taking the lead through Saul Niguez inside the opening four minutes.
There were jubilant scenes in the Wanda Metropolitano after the game and the Madrid giants have angered the Liverpool fans even more so after some footage was released of them seemingly celebrating during a training session on Wednesday.
Here is how some of the Anfield faithful have reacted.
Love it when teams do this. Inevitably ends in tears. Ask Messi?????

What do we think?
This could just be how Diego Simeone’s team train, who knows. They have every right to be pleased with themselves having beaten the Premier League’s runaway leaders, but any celebrations would certainly be premature.
The two meet again on Wednesday 11th March at Anfield for the second leg, and the visitors can expect to face a hostile reception from the Liverpool faithful.
