A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to a piece from Graham Smyth about Kiko Casilla’s racism case.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reporter claims that the FA will come to a decision based on the balance of probability.

So the panel making the decision just have to decide if the event was more likely to have happened than not.
If they conclude that it was likely that Casilla used racist language towards Jonathan Leko, then he will receive a six-game ban.
However, Smyth argues that the Spaniard’s reputation should not be based on if it was likely that he used racist language or not.
Smyth worries that if the FA find Casilla guilty, then he will be exposed to taunts by rival fans even if, in a criminal court, he is found not guilty – like the Fernando Forestieri case last year.
Certainly, these Leeds fans are worried about Casilla and think the FA will ban him.

The FA have never worries about burden of truth. They are an inept out of date organisation that has no issues with being judge, jury and executioner. No court in the land would make a decision based on limited evidence. But they will and they will ban him

It sounds inevitable that Casilla will be banned regardless of ‘proof’. The fact that it has gone this far suggests there is no option based on the threshold.

It’s ridiculous that someone can cry racism and ruin someone’s career/life without any real proof. It’s opening it up for all sorts of allegations. How many innocent players will fall victim of this? How can it be proven? Players are gonna have to be wired up to record games!

Issue I have too is how long it’s taken. This happened in September.. if evidence was overwhelming why has it taken 5 months. If he did it deserves everything he gets but is his reputation at stake like you say

What do we think?
This seems an odd way for the FA to make a judgement on a case as serious as racism, and Smyth is right that no matter the outcome, neither party is likely to be satisfied.
