Liverpool have appointed Manchester City physio Steve Lilley to replace Richie Partridge, who will join the Qatar national team next month – according to Training Ground Guru.
Lilley has been with the Manchester club since 2011 when he joined from Norwich City but is set to make the switch to Merseyside next month. He was promoted to the first team at the Etihad Stadium in 2013 and worked extremely closely with Lee Nobes who is now the head physio at Anfield (via Training Ground Guru).
Will Steve Lilley's switch have a significant impact?

These fans have had their say on the news they’re about to take a member of staff away from one of their biggest rivals. One even jokingly suggests their capture from the current champions could be the first of many, with Kevin De Bruyne in the sights of one particular supporter.

What do we think?
It’s not often that the backroom staff make the headlines but given the recent rivalry between the two clubs, the fact Liverpool look set to lure one of Pep Guardiola’s staff to Anfield feels like significant news. However, it remains to be seen how much of an impact this could have on the team’s performances on the field.
