At the time of writing this, Liverpool fans have been responding on Twitter to comments made by Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying comments made by Niguez in an interview originally published in The Guardian.
The Spaniard praised Liverpool’s work ethic after revealing he watched the Reds recent 1-0 win over Norwich City at the weekend prior to tonight’s 1-0 loss at Atletico’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

The 25-year-old, who is currently valued at £81 million according to Transfermarkt has been Atletico’s top performer so far this season. The midfielder is currently the highest-rated player at the club in terms of season ratings according to WhoScored with a rating of 7.23, and managed to get on the scoresheet in the Champions League first leg against the Reds.
Now that comments have surfaced of Niguez praising Jurgen Klopp’s side, this has paved the way for plenty of Liverpool fans to return the favour and send their own praise towards the Spaniard.

It’s good to see Niguez taking the time to recognise and praise the way in which Liverpool play so it comes as no surprise that so many Reds fans have been responding to his words.
