Real Madrid loanee Dani Ceballos has claimed he rejected a move to Anfield in favour of joining Arsenal in the summer. Speaking in an interview with Marca (reported via Goal.com), the Spaniard spoke of how impressed he was by Unai Emery and that the former Arsenal boss travelled to his home to persuade him the Emirates Stadium was the right place for him.
He went on to suggest that the style in which Jurgen Klopp’s side play wouldn’t have suited him and suggested that also played a part in his decision to sign for the Gunners.
Did Liverpool dodge a bullet when Ceballos opted for Arsenal?
Yes
No
It’s fair to say Ceballos has failed to make the impact many may have expected at Arsenal having made just 11 Premier League appearances so far, so in the eyes of the Anfield faithful did they dodge a bullet with this one?
Talking about dodging the bullet

I don’t think this is a dig at us, he probably knew there was no chance of breaking into our starting 11 and went to somewhere for game time, even though he’s played aba 3 games?

What do we think?
If Ceballos’ chances at the Emirates Stadium this season have been limited, he would have, in our view had an even more difficult time trying to establish himself at Anfield, such has been the high standard set by the league leaders. His loan deal in London is set to expire in the summer, but whether Real Madrid will give him another go at breaking into their first team remains to be seen.
