Is Kevin Ratcliffe considered the best captain Everton have ever had?Yes, he is the ultimate legendNo, nearly but not quite the best |
Ratcliffe played for the Merseyside club after graduating from the youth system in 1979 until he departed the club for Scottish outfit Dundee FC in 1991 (per Transfermarkt).
The former defender played during the club’s most successful period in their history during the 1980s, featuring in every single game of the ’87 title-winning season (per Cheshire Live), which has left him a firm favourite with Toffees fans.

What do we think?
Judging from the number of responses from supporters, it is good to see that Ratcliffe is still a firm favourite amongst the Goodison Park faithful.
It is also good to see that the Welshman shares a similar excitement with supporters surrounding the club’s proposed new stadium at the Bramley-Moore Dock site.
