Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news surrounding Andy Robertson.
This comes after Liverpool journalist James Pearce shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing that if Robertson were to be yellow-carded in the Reds’ Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid tonight, then he would become unavailable for the second-leg match at Anfield.
The full-back has already picked up two yellow cards in six Champions League appearances so far this season (per WhoScored).
Would Robertson be a miss for Liverpool in the second-leg against Atletico?
Yes, a big loss
No, we have cover
Pearce’s post then led to a lot of Liverpool fans replying with their thoughts on this latest update.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to Pearce’s post:
Andy Robertson is the only #LFC player one booking away from a CL suspension. If he gets a yellow card tomorrow night he’ll miss the second leg v Atletico.

What do we think?
Given how Robertson has made 36 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions so far this season, it would be safe to assume that the 25-year-old is an important figure in Jurgen Klopp’s side. But based off some of the replies to Pearce’s post, it appears that some Liverpool fans think Robertson’s potential absence in the second leg wouldn’t be that much of a problem for the team, while James Milner can provide sufficient cover should Robertson receive a yellow card in tonight’s clash at the Wanda Metropolitano.
