Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react to footage of Danny Ings hugging and chatting with his former Reds teammates.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldRd96 shared a post on their page that included footage originally shared by @PrimeHendo of Ings interacting with some Liverpool players after their 4-0 win at Anfield at the weekend.
Who would you prefer as Liverpool's main striker?
Danny Ings
Roberto Firmino
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were happy to see their former man in good spirits with his former teammates.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the footage:
We should’ve kept him… much better than Origi

It’s to bad he had 2 major injuries back to back or he would still playing for Liverpool

That is beautiful. Should be shown to everyone who doesn’t understand what #YNWA means

The striker joined the Merseyside club back in 2015 from fellow Premier League side Burnley. But after making just 25 appearances for the Reds, Ings was sold to Southampton on a permanent basis in the last summer transfer window after spending the previous season there on loan (per Transfermarkt).
Now that this footage has emerged of Ings chatting with his former teammates after the match, lots of Liverpool fans have been showing their appreciation for the centre-forward.

Fantastic to see and fully justified. @IngsDanny will always be seen as the unluckiest player #LFC have ever had. It is great to see him getting the success he deserves. Why Soton took him off I do not know. He gave our defence more trouble than anyone else this season.#YNWA

Can we have him back please.

Wow!

Bring him back

What do we think?
It’s great to see all the Liverpool players taking the time to chat with Ings and show that they all still carry a lot of respect and appreciation for him. Likewise with the fans too, even though his time at the club was not as successful as they would have liked, these replies prove how much he is still admired at the club.
