Fans of Liverpool have been reacting to James Pearce’s post on Twitter, in which the Athletic reporter relays comments made by Jurgen Klopp, stating that Jordan Henderson will be out for “three weeks or so”.
Henderson, who arrived at Liverpool from Sunderland in 2011, has been influential in the Reds’ midfield so far this season, scoring three goals, providing five assists, and earning an average WhoScored match rating of 7.03.
However, the 29-year-old had to be withdrawn in the latter stages of Liverpool’s 1-0 Champions League loss at Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night due to a hamstring injury.
On the injury, Klopp stated: “Could have been worse. He will be out I think for three weeks or so. Not cool but we were still lucky.”
In reaction to the news, Liverpool fans have taken to social media, with many worried about Henderson’s availability for the return leg of the Atletico tie.

Oops..
this would be a huge blow.
Hendo was doing a great job in the deep of the midfield with the absence of Fabinho. Fabihno is not at his best after his injury. He is taking too many risks in the deep of the midfield. We saw it in Madrid.— Chamikara Indrachapa (@IamChami17) February 21, 2020
Better than what I was first expecting!

What do we think?
Henderson has played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s midfield this season, averaging 2.1 tackles and 0.9 interceptions per game, as well as 61.1 passes with an 84.1% completion rate on average.
Should Henderson fail to be fit for the second leg of the Atletico tie, Klopp may have to rely on the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Georginio Wijnaldum to cover for the 29-year-old.
