Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to Darren Bent’s comments on Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
This comes after Liverpool fan account @AnfieldWatch shared a post on their Twitter page relaying Bent’s quotes originally shared on TalkSPORT (via The Mirror).
Bent claimed that he could see Pogba getting into Liverpool’s team before adding that the Frenchman could get into “most teams” if he is on top form.
Would a fully fit Paul Pogba get into the current Liverpool team?
Yes, he's class
No, not good enough
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were keen to weigh in with their thoughts on the matter.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans discussing Pogba:
A fully focused fit Pogba maybe, but he’s not consistent, appears lazy, bad attitude and all in all a bit premadonna/balotelli…no good for us.

Why would we ruin the whole team spirit for some player who thinks he is a lot better than he actually is. Seriously overrated in my view

Wouldn’t improve the team would end up being a bad apple in the dressing room and disrupt the progress being made

Due to an ongoing ankle injury, the Frenchman has only made eight appearances for United in all competitions so far this season. Despite missing 30 matches of the current campaign for the Red Devils, Bent still thinks that Pogba at the peak of his powers would get into this current Liverpool side under Jurgen Klopp. After these comments emerged on Twitter, this then paved the way for lots of Liverpool fans to share their disagreements with Bent.
As if, stupid opinion. For a start Pogba is a luxury, he would need to work hard to get in our squad, I dont think he has that mentality.

He wouldn’t get in the under https://t.co/jBor4EBD8M..and frankly wouldn’t touch pogba…with a barge pole he is toxic..

Pogba’s problem is – I don’t remember seeing him anywhere near top form. Therefore don’t really know what that means. Therefore Bent’s comment is really quite meaningless. Right now – he won’t even get into LFC reserves.

What do we think?
While injuries have hindered Pogba’s season this year, his valuation of £90 million (according to Transfermarkt), proves he is still a top footballer. But looking at these replies from the Liverpool fans, it appears that his attitude is a big factor as to why they would not want him in their squad.
