Some Celtic fans have been left fuming by the performance of Moritz Bauer in the club’s recent 3-0 Scottish Cup fifth-round win over Clyde in.
The Hoops picked up a convincing 3-0 win over Clyde and the game saw Bauer start at right-back. Scott Brown was among the scorers, while Olivier Ntcham and Vakoun Issouf Bayo were also on the scoresheet.
Should Bauer be signed permanently?
Never, he's not good enough
He can be a squad player
But after the game, many Celtic fans were discussing the performance of Bauer. Many of them weren’t too happy about how he played in the clash.
Is he actually a professional footballer?

He is a qualified pilot and should perhaps stick to that.

Not for me. He’s the worst of our summer signings.

Celtic signed Bauer from Stoke City last summer on a loan deal till the end of the current season. He joined Stoke in January 2018 for an undisclosed fee while the club were in the Premier League.
So far this season, Bauer, who is valued at £1.8 million (as per Transfermarkt), has been a bit-part player at Parkhead. He has made 13 appearances in all competitions for the club, with nine of them coming in the Premiership for the Hoops, racking up two assists in that time.
What do we think?
Bauer may not be the club’s long-term option at right-back, considering Jeremie Frimpong is slowly getting back to full fitness, as is Israeli defender Hatem Abd Elhamed. The club already has two players who are on a permanent deal and Bauer looks to be more of a stop-gap. Therefore, these fans may not need to worry too much about the defender’s Celtic future.
