Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to criticise Raheem Sterling’s latest comments on his former club.
This comes after Liverpool fan account @empireofthekop shared a post on their Twitter page relaying comments made by the Englishman originally to the Spanish media outlet AS.
Sterling claimed that his current club Manchester City are “not treated with the same respect” compared to Liverpool.
Do you agree with Raheem Sterling's comments
Yes
No
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to have their say on the situation.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans reacting to the post:

Like I’ve said to you before, you Earn Repect, which is something you lack in abundance, your a very very good footballer NO question but what you do not possess is ,humility, and you cannot be complimented for your loyalty. You enjoy your monetary wealth.

Respect is earned not bought.

Since Sterling left the Merseyside club in 2015, the winger has gone on to win six major trophies, including two Premier League titles (per Transfermarkt). Now that Sterling’s former side are on their way to winning the Premier League title this season, the 25-year-old’s latest comments comparing how City are looked at compared to Liverpool have sparked a big reaction on Twitter.
Because Liverpool have NOT cheated & bought their success, our respect has been earned & completely deserved.

Still can’t count, and people don’t respect cheats.
— Bidlet47 (@Bidlet47) February 23, 2020
Still obsessed with Liverpool
— Robert feeney (@Robertf81884158) February 22, 2020
Maybe that’s because #ManCity bought the league.
Even rival fans that hate #LiverpoolFC can see that at least they went about it the right way-if their honest with themselves.
City will never be respected, and being done for FFP(£) proves that.OIL money doesn’t bring respect!

What do we think?
Sterling is welcome to his opinion and how he thinks his team are treated is completely up to him. Given that Sterling left Liverpool five years ago and has found an abundance of success in Manchester, it’s understandable why these Reds fans have been very quick to criticise his latest comments.
