Liverpool fans on Twitter have been reacting to comments made by Jordan Henderson on a potential Anfield return for Philippe Coutinho.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying quotes originally published in Spanish media outlet Sport made by Henderson on his former teammate.
Regarding a return to Liverpool, Henderson revealed that he thinks Coutinho’s time at the club has “passed” leaving it unlikely to see the Brazilian at the Merseyside club again.
Would you take Philippe Coutinho back at Liverpool?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their thoughts on the situation.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
Henderson on a Coutinho return: “It is probably best to ask the manager that. The boys loved him, so I'm sure they'll say they would love to have him back.
“But I think his time here has passed, he has moved and I hope that in the future we will see the same Phil we saw here.” pic.twitter.com/Yi3jntNUO4

“But I think his time has passed”. The message is pretty clear from Hernderson.

The Brazilian, who is currently valued at £63 million according to Transfermarkt left Liverpool in the 2018 January transfer window in a mega-money move to Barcelona for a fee of £130.5 million. Coutinho is currently playing at German club Bayern Munich on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona. Now that Liverpool captain Henderson has given his input over a possible return to Liverpool in the future, many Reds fans see Henderson’s comments as confirmation that Coutinho will not be making a return to Anfield.
The Captain has spoken ??

What do we think?
Even though Henderson’s comments don’t completely rule out a move for Coutinho, you would have thought that any return for the Brazilain now looks dead in the water.
