Former Liverpool star Raheem Sterling has been ruled out of Manchester City’s clash with Premier League strugglers West Ham United on Sunday having sustained a hamstring injury at Tottenham last week.

Scans revealed the England international has suffered some damage to his left hamstring, but no prediction was made regarding when he will be fit to return. The 25-year-old left Anfield to join City in 2015, but despite almost five years having passed, there is still much ill-feeling towards the player from his former fans – some of whom have taken to social media to mock Sterling’s injury and recent form.

Have you forgiven Raheem Sterling for the way he left the club?

What do we think?

Sterling played 129 times for the Merseyside giants scoring 23 goals and providing 25 assists. The player has justified his desire for trophies by winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and three League Cups at Manchester City.  However, it is perhaps no surprise the ill-feeling stems from the way he went about engineering a move away from the club that showed such faith in him to begin with.
