Supporters of Everton were left discussing Jordan Pickford after footage of the goal the Toffees conceded against Crystal Palace was posted to Twitter.
After being shared by The Gwladys Street on Twitter (and originally posted by @btsportfootball), Christian Benteke’s goal against the Toffees had fans discussing whether or not he was good enough.

Do we sweep this error under the carpet because we won? Or is it time for the club to scout potential replacements?#EFC pic.twitter.com/UE9JLiIXaO

Should Carlo Ancelotti be looking to sign a new goalkeeper over the summer?Yes, Pickford is not good enoughNo, Pickford is not a bad stopper |
The post from The Gwladys Street also shared information – which was originally posted by statistician Matt Cheetham – that at the time of the goal, the last five shots on target that Pickford had faced were all conceded.
With fans seemingly split over whether the England stopper had a positive impact or not, some supporters felt that there was one aspect to do with the Toffees’ squad that may help him.
He certainly needs genuine competition for the starting eleven.

Sell & replace. GK is not just about “shot stoppers” and that is all he is. People go on about him saving us, manager’s target him as a weakness. His pro don’t out way his con’s

What do we think?
Judging by the former Sunderland man’s 6.36/10 average rating in the league so far (as per WhoScored), it is clear to see that he has not been playing at a consistently high enough standard for the Toffees.
The 25-year-old has kept just eight clean sheets over 31 appearances in all competitions, and conceded 43 in the other 23 games (per Transfermarkt), which leaves a lot to be desired.
Compared to potential England rival Dean Henderson’s nine clean sheets in 26 games in all competitions, where he has conceded 22 in 17 (per Transfermarkt), Pickford’s stats look poor.
