Fans of Everton have been gushing over a footage of Duncan Ferguson that emerged on social media in which he sent a message to a Toffees supporter.
On Thursday evening, a video was posted to social media of the Scotsman sending a message to a supporter who had been diagnosed with motor neurone disease (as per @josh_cruise2), which supporters loved.
After what’s been an extremely tough year for the whole family following my dads diagnosis of motor neurone disease, this really has made a family full of blues so happy..what an amazing gesture from @Everton and Big Dunc ? pic.twitter.com/1FAKfflwSu

Is Duncan Ferguson considered an Everton legend?Yes, he is fantasticNo, but he nearly is |
During his time with the Toffees, the Scottish assistant manager has been an avid supporter of doing work in the Merseyside community for Everton supporters (via Liverpool Echo).
The 48-year-old spent ten years as an Everton player between 1995 and 2006, spending a season and a half with Newcastle United in the middle (as per Transfermarkt), and fans loved Ferguson’s latest act for an Everton supporter.

What do we think?
Well, what a fantastic thing to see the video from Ferguson was. For a man who goes as above and beyond for the community as the Scotsman does (per Liverpool Echo), it is hard not to consider the 48-year-old a legend of the club.
Hopefully, the shirt which Ferguson mentioned and is holding throughout the video will raise a good amount of funds for the supporter and help the family, as the Scot mentioned.
