Fans of Everton have aired that they think that Andre Gomes should not play against Arsenal when the two sides meet on Sunday.
The question was posed to supporters by the Liverpool Echo, who enquired if the 26-year-old should return to action against the Gunners (per Liverpool Echo), which was met with disapproval.
Would you play Gomes against Arsenal? ?https://t.co/4uqJXgh4bo

No. A sub. Push him too fast and you risk a serious breakdown.

Utterly stupid question. Based on what? Watching videos of him running around?? Leave it to the professional staff at the club to decide .. doh ?

Do you think that Andre Gomes should start the game against Arsenal?
Yes, he seems to be ready for it
No, it's far too soon for him to start
However, despite his involvement in a game at the USM Finch Farm, many supporters continued to air that they felt it was just too soon for the 26-year-old to be making an immediate comeback. The question comes after the Portuguese midfielder featured for 60 minutes in an 11-a-side game composed of Under-23 and first-team players during training on Sunday (per Everton).
Everton should not rush Andre into a tough match against Arsenal unless he is ready for the fray. To get him injured again would be a catastrophe.

What do we think?
While supporters may not believe that Gomes is ready to return, Ancelotti does. On Tuesday, the Italian admitted that he felt that the Portuguese midfielder was ready and it would be best to start the game after a long-term injury (per Everton).
However, the Italian did admit that he would have to have a conversation with Gomes and decide what is for the best (per Everton), though, it sounds as if there is a very real possibility that the 26-year-old will make his comeback at the Emirates Stadium.
