Everton midfielder Andre Gomes has taken part in a game behind closed doors just three and a half months after suffering a horrific injury against Tottenham Hotspur in November.
The Portuguese international has been limited to just eight Premier League appearances this season as a result of the injury, and judging by the replies to the club’s official post, these fans had a lot to say.
Will Andre Gomes be a starter under Carlo Ancelotti?
Yes

What do we think?
Everton travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal at the weekend, a team now led by their former midfielder Mikel Arteta, who was appointed just a day before Carlo Ancelotti took the reins at Goodison Park.
We believe this game will come around too soon for Gomes to feature but given how quickly he has recovered we won’t be ruling anything out. The Toffees head into this fixture just four points off Chelsea in fourth place, evidencing just how far they’ve come in a short space of time under their Italian boss.
