Everton: Supporters discuss next season’s kit after sponsorship news

|

Supporters of Everton have been discussing the Toffees’ kit for next season after an announcement from the club on their main sponsor.

After a report in early January which stated the Merseyside club would be ditching Umbro, with Hummel as the likely new candidate (per Footy Headlines) and SportPesa were set to be dropped as the main partnership (as per Everton), supporters discussed next season’s kit.

Are you pleased that the Toffees' main sponsership deal with SportPesa has been cut short?

Yes, it bodes well for the future

No, I don't like the uncertainty

Some supporters believed that the latest news from the club, the deal with SportPesa being cut short (per Everton), was a sign of more money being on its way from Russian Billionaire, Alisher Usmanov, who has already signalled his intent (per The Financial Times).

Therefore, supporters were split over being delighted that more money could be on its way being a good thing and concerns over Hummel potentially being the club’s next kit manufacturer.

What do we think?

At the current stage, all of this, unfortunately, is just speculation due to none of the new supposed sponsors or kit manufacturers being officially announced by the club.

Officially, SportPesa will no longer be the club’s main partner (per Everton), the new one is unclear as of yet and as far as official announcements go, Umbro will be the kit designer for the foreseeable after signing a ‘multi-year deal’ last year (per Everton).
