Supporters of Everton have fumed with a transfer link between the club and on-loan Manchester United centre-back, Chris Smalling.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Toffees and Tottenham Hotspur have both been in contact with Smalling’s agent with possible interest (via The Gwladys Street), which many fans were not keen on.

Do you think Chris Smalling would be an improvement on Michael Keane?
Yes, would be a much better option
No, Michael Keane is a good option
The 30-year-old is currently valued at £18 million and has another two seasons, following the conclusion of the current one, remaining on his contract at Old Trafford (per Transfermarkt). However, Everton fans were not impressed. The English centre-back is currently on a season-long loan with Serie A side AS Roma (per BBC), who he has been impressing for with a 7.16/10 average rating in the league (per WhoScored).
Can’t see it another Delph style not worth it transfer

What do we think?
While many Everton fans do not seem keen on the former Fulham defender, Smalling has a higher average rating than any of the Toffees’ current central defenders so far this season.
With a 7.16/10 in the league (per WhoScored), the Englishman betters Yerry Mina (6.85/10), Mason Holgate (6.8/10) and Michael Keane (6.73/10) (per WhoScored).
