This week Crystal Palace fans were given a slight boost ahead of their match against Brighton on the weekend. The club posted a photo of Palace player Mamadou Sakho participating in training on Twitter. The player also posted a photo of himself at training.
The French-born centre-back is currently suffering thigh problems that have seen him out of the squad since the side’s 1-1 draw against Norwich.
In the six league games since Norwich, Palace have conceded nine goals. They also lost against Derby in the FA Cup during this time.
The fans wished Sakho a speedy recovery, however, many are eager to see him play this weekend against Brighton. They obviously think he could be a valuable asset to their side during this fixture.

Would you start Sakho on the weekend if he was fit?
Yes
No
One fan appears to have forgotten that Sakho was even a Palace player, however.
He’s alive?

Another fan admits that Sakho is best paired with James Tomkins.
Cahill & Kelly or Sakho & Tomkins as our CB partnerships, they both just compliment each other so well

What do we think?
Sakho has had a very underwhelming season so far. He has played just eight games, conceding nine goals in the process. He also picked up a red card against Bournemouth, which saw him miss matches against Watford, Brighton and Newcastle.
Regardless of how underwhelming his statistics have been, however, these fans clearly want to see him back ready for this weekend.
