Crystal Palace fans saw their side miss out on three points against Sheffield United on the weekend. The 1-0 loss came after Vicente Guaita dropped the ball into his own goal from a corner kick. It was a huge goal for the travelling Blades fans, who now see their side sitting just one point outside of the top five.
But there are some Crystal Palace fans who don’t think their club are doing enough to make life difficult for the opposition. They believe they are much too hospitable to away-day fans, raising their spirits before the match by providing them with a place to sing in full voice. This was shared by @HLTCO, who questioned why the club were putting on these events for away fans and called for the club to cut it out instantly. Many fans agreed.
I genuinely wasn't aware Palace did this for away fans EVERY week.
Needs to be cut out ASAP.

One of my ex work colleagues who is a Brighton Fan came down for the 2.1 Win last seaosn and said it was one of the best Away Days hes ever had within the Away Area itself, concourse everything etc.
Completely agree with you

Been that way for a few seasons. But WHY!? Why are we making it fun for them? Why are we getting their fans in good spirits? It makes absolutely no sense. Embarrassing.

Absolutely embarrassing and whoever come up with this idea should be fired immediately. Even the catering staff wear the away shirts etc, for the first couple of weeks I thought clubs were bringing their own staff before realising it was CPFC employees wearing them. Pathetic.

Really odd thing to do…. although is the tactic to get them singing outside of the pitch? Weird thing is then tend to be really quiet once the game starts so not like it carries into the game. Still all for getting rid of it though

Can we cut this out @CPFC
— Tony Peters (@thattonypeters) February 3, 2020
Do you think CPFC should cut out their hospitality towards away fans?
Yes
No
One fan reckons they could keep the event, but only play disturbing music to put the away fans off. Perhaps that would be going a bit too far.
Play sounds of baby’s crying or drilling noises to all away fans for 1 hour before kick off, I saw this on the SAS program on tv it will soon dampen there spirit

What do we think?
Who knows if the away-day festivities are playing a part in Crystal Palace’s disappointing results? Regardless, these fans don’t like the hospitality being shown from their club.
