Aston Villa fans have been discussing Keinan Davis’ role at the club on Twitter.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @AVFCchats shared a post on their page listing a number of younger players at the club claiming will play a “major role” for Villa next year should the club get relegated this season.
Should Villa get rid of Keinan Davis?
Yes
No
One of the names on the list contained 21-year-old striker Keinan Davis, who most Villa fans decided to share their thoughts on in reply to the post.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans discussing the Englishman:
If we go down then one positive is we’ll get a good look at our youth players;
Jacob Ramsey
Mungo Bridge
Callum O’Hare
Keinan Davis
Indiana VassilevThese players + more may play a major role #AVFC

I like Keinan but hes really frustrating because he just can’t score goals.

I dont think Keinan Davis knows how good Keinan Davis is due to his injury record. Poor kid.

Davis is the only one I wouldn’t care about seeing. I’ve seen enough to know he’s got injury problems and is a liability so would cash in on him. The others excite me. Also young Barry to ?

The 21-year-old has only made 11 appearances in all competitions for Villa so far this season, scoring once and assisting once (per Transfermarkt). Davis recently picked up an injury after taking part in a Villa U23’s match. After Davis had been labelled as a player to help the club should they find themselves back in the Championship next season, some Villa fans were hesitant to agree.
Keinan Davis ? Afraid not, kid cant even do back to back training sessions

One fan even suggested he was like Jack Wilshere and Andy Carroll. The former has suffered with injuries throughout his career, so you can see where the comparison has come from.
Doubt Davis will with the injuries. Been on going for to long for it not to be a lasting thing like wilshere, Carroll, etc. Plus have samatta and wes will be back from injury early back of next season

U will only see 20 mins of Keinan before he gets injured ?

What do we think?
Given that Davis has not been a regular feature at Villa so far this season, and is not likely to feature anytime soon due to his latest injury, it’s understandable why these Villa fans are not so confident on the striker’s ability to be a significant figure for the club in the future. Hopefully, for the Villa fans, the club will avoid relegation and that Davis can return quickly and help his club to do so.
