The midfielder picked up a serious ankle injury back in December that was reported would rule him out for three months. Now that Evans has revealed that McGinn will be back working on the training pitch this week, lots of Villa fans have been sharing their joy on Twitter.

What do we think?
Before picking up his injury, McGinn had been one of Villa’s star performers, earning himself a season rating of 7.26 according to WhoScored. Given this solid record, it comes as no surprise that so many Villa fans have been in hysterics over his close return to fitness. The Villa fans will now be hoping that the 25-year-old can stay fit and continue where he left off and help his side avoid relegation.
