These West Brom fans slate Ahmed Hegazi after a disappointing performance in the 1-0 defeat to Stoke.
Monday night was a disappointing one of these West Brom fans, as the Baggies lost 1-0 to Stoke thanks to a ninth-minute goal from Tyrese Campbell.
However, it was Hegazi that came under fire, with the 28-year-old only achieving a WhoScored rating of 6.7/10 and made an error that led to the Baggies going 1-0 down.
Here are some for the comments from the West Brom fans on Twitter:
Hope that’s the last we see of Hegazi in an albion shirt. Two good games in the play offs doesn’t make up for 2 and a half years of giving away soft goals. Give me O’Shea any day #wba

Afraid Hegazi showed once more, how much of a liability he can be, basically gifted them the opportunity for their goal.

Hegazi should not have started tonight ?#wba

Sell Hegazi, and recall and sell Burke. Get a LB, Central midfielder, Left winger and striker. #wba

Absolutely awful again tonight, we need additions and quickly, squad is too bare, Austin should have started or at the very least came on sooner, we need a goalscorer and a decent center back, hegazi doesn’t look like he wants to be there now @wba

Did Hegazi cost West Brom points against Stoke?
Yes
No
Despite these West Brom fans slating Hegazi, the 28-year-old managed to have a whopping 102 touches of the ball, which was the second-most in the whole match.
Hegazi seems terrified to make a decision, he wants to get rid of the ball as soon as he gets it, and to be honest its usually back or sidewards.

How can we be so tired after 9 days rest?? Poor performance worst of the season, Hegazi, Townsend and Zohore I never wanna see in an Albion shirt again, need 4 new signings at least, the longer this run goes on, the more it’s mentally going to drain the players!! #wba

Over rated Hegazi #wba

What Do We Think?
In the six Championship matches Hegazi, who is valued at £5.4 million (as per Transfermarkt), has played this season, the 28-year-old has averaged a WhoScored rating of 6.55/10, so this poor outing against Stoke was actually slightly better than usual. That’s either a strange positive or very concerning because if that’s all the Hegazi has to offer, not many of these Baggies fans will be keen on him playing again.
