Things are starting to look up for Sunderland fans at the moment. The side has just won their first two games in a row under manager Phil Parkinson since he took over in mid-October after beating Wycombe 4-0.
Charlie Wyke and Denver Hume opened the scoring for Sunderland before a Chris Maguire brace sealed the victory. But the overall team performance won the side the game, with most players putting in a solid 7/10 performance or better.
Luke O’Nien was one of the players who played well during the match. After the game, the right-back tweeted out to congratulate Hume for scoring his goal. Fans responded to O’Nien, insisting that he played just as well during the match. The player completed 40 passes, two tackles and one interception during the match (WhoScored.com).

Is Luke O'Nien your player of the season so far?
Yes
No
One fan thinks that if O’Nien continues to perform at his best for the remainder of the season then Sunderland will have a great chance at achieving a playoff spot.
Play like that for the rest of the season Luke then it’s happy days haway the lads

What do we think?
Despite not getting on the score sheet himself, O’Nien proved himself as a valuable player during his game against Wycombe. If he continues to perform, he will be a huge player for Parkinson going forward.
