This week, Jermain Defoe appeared on BT Sport’s segment called, “What I Wore” on YouTube. The English striker has played for countless teams throughout his career. The Rangers player has already scored 14 goals in 26 games this season as a non-starter. The player also had a spell at Sunderland as well.
In the episode, the player spoke passionately about his time with the Black Cats. Roker Report shared a clip of Defoe speaking about scoring a brilliant volley for the club. Other Sunderland fans praised the player and claimed they will never forget what he did for them.
Me too.

Is Jermain Defoe one of Sunderland's best ever strikers?
Yes
No
Another fan admits that they would take the player back at any point.
What Sunderland fans would give to see Jermain back at the SOL

What do we think?
While Sunderland fans would love to see the player return to the Stadium of Light, the player isn’t getting any younger at the age of 37 years of age. Yet, while a return to Sunderland seems unlikely, it is clear that both Defoe and Sunderland fans look back on his time at the club fondly.
