Sunderland have gone undefeated in January and only lost their first game in December. The side are on a six-game unbeaten streak heading into their match against MK Dons this weekend.
And while half of those six games have been draws, it is certainly an improvement from their October and November form. Since Parkinson took over, the side only won two games in his first 14 in charge.
But while the Black Cats seem to have improved their form, the fans are anxious about their upcoming fixtures. After facing 19th-placed MK Dons, the side face ninth-placed Doncaster, 21st-placed Tranmere Rovers and eighth-placed Portsmouth (Sky Sports). With every one of those teams being below seventh-placed Sunderland, there is a great opportunity to pick up some more points. It won’t be easy, but these fans think the club should get at least nine points during this period.
8 points as a bare minimum. https://t.co/RXhkldJRKY

8 would be fine…If we can stay unbeaten and take that run into double figures we will be well placed.

For me 9 points going into the Portsmouth game , a hard game at Fratton Park, so would be happy with a point , so 10 points for me .

3 wins
draw Portsmouth

I’d bite your hand off for 9 or 10.

Do you think Sunderland can achieve nine points during this period?
Yes
No
What do we think?
With three away games during this period, achieving such a high points tally won’t be an easy feat. It will take hard work and determination from Phil Parkinson’s side who appear to be up for the challenge as of late. If they can continue to find these precious points, they could be lucky enough to make playoffs come the end of the season.
